tetsuya, my cae buddy from japan, came to visit Switzerland for a couple of days. the first two days we spent in Basel and the weekend in the finest baroque and most beautiful town in the country: Solothurn :) yippie.

it was great to show him where i live and to introduce him to nd's way of life ;) while showing him Solothurn I recognized once again that Solothurn is an awesome town with many breathtaking places... i'm lovin' it!

i've spent some nice days up north in berlin with my 3 buddies. although the weather wasn't always that good we've been to many places and - of course - found many nice cafes to enjoy our beloved brown beverage. Besides sightseeing we've been hardworking on our upcoming karaoke-careers...

well, i don't know if i ever told you, my dear blogspot, about my way of covering my feet. I, as most people do, use to wear shoes. that's a good thing for you can walk for miles like that, but that's actually not what i wanted to tell you...

it's kind of a love story called "me and my shoes". i can call one or the other pair as my own. last week i went to one of my favorite outlet store (puma harrr) and enlarged my property up to 56 (or was it 57?! whatever) pairs... hihihi additional i have to say that this number also includes any summershoes, sportshoes and so on.
there is just one really hard thing about that: which one am i going to wear today?

finally... it's been a very warm fall and to be honest it's kind of scarying if you can drive your bike at the beginning of december only wearing a hoodie.

today*sunday*sun is shining*cold temperatures*a white mountain*aaaaaawesome :)

hey folks out there!

how are you? i just got back from a camp for upcoming youthgroup leaders. well i was there as a leader and the young people were really interesting. i love to watch their behaviour and then finally thought: have i been the same as i was young? -well, i probably was. oh oh. how lucky am i having left this age... :) nevertheless it was a very good thing but after one week camping in a forest i'm pretty glad to have back a flushing toilet. *smile*

it has been a long long time without blogging... well that's actually not what a blog would be for. whatever, i am now enjoying my summer vacation. it's pretty hot here in Switzerland and that's why i'm often in the public bath to take a swim in the Aare - 20 degrees awesome!!!

I, finally, got an appartement in Basel. uhuuu :) So I'll start working in the middle of August and move to Basel in September. How exciting is that :D

well... now... it's too hot and i don't wanna spend more time in front of the computer. gotta go outside and get a good teint ;)

I went to Paris for a couple of days.... it was a great time and we had a lot of fun and sun (whereas it was snowing in Switzerland...hehehe)
I've met many people in Canada who were so surprised that i have never been to Paris. "It's so close to your country" Well, yes it is and i actually don't know why i have never been there before. However I finally went to Paris with a girlfriend of mine and we walked about 500 miles... <:o) and it won't be my last time there. Paris, I'm coming back... be prepared...

after having changed our clocks (summertime) we really had a beautiful springday! Everyone threw away their winterjackets, ran outside and enjoyed the sun!!! doing anything else would have been a crime :)

so, me too, enjoyed the sun and sat with my friends for the first time this year at the landhaus-bar on the aare river :) aaaaaaaaaawesome!

today was actually a freeeeeeeeeezing day. when it was cold in vancouver it was freezing for my american roommate, warm for the canadian one and cold for me... andy it would have been hard for you today in switzerland ;)

back home, i enjoy going for a coffee in the morning or during the day and having a drink in the evening. while i was away a new bar/restaurant had opened and it's really great hanging around there... home sweet home. here i am and i feel like home again. probably faster than i wanted cause canada seems to be soooo far away now! the pictures in my head may disappear, the one in my heart stay forever... *lol*

It has been snowing the whole night... on this pic the streets are "clean" again. as i returned yesterday night i didn't drive faster than 20km/h with the car. Nevertheless, the landscape is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! it's wonderful :)

in vancouver it was cold and we had a lot of rain... now back at home it's freezing and snowing again... not only a little bit... around 20cm (sorry my nordamerican friends i'm too lazy to change it in ft... *smile*
however i'm not going to write a complain letter because i love the snow. In Vancouver I really missed the snow. Here I am probably the only one who's amazed by the snow. Well they had weather like this for the last 3 month...

Yesterday was the last carneval day and now we have to wait for another year and actually life in Switzerland begins now for me. oh oh till now i really enjoyed being back, i hope it won't change now that "regular life" begins. Whatever, keep on rocking everybody...

here i am back again in Switzerland. Actually i'm fighting with the computer board because some letters and espacially the symbols are in a different place... whatever i got used to the american board so i will get used to the european soon ;)

well it feels good to be back to hug all my beloved ones (i did a lot of hugging yesterday and yeah i'm back in Switzerland so people kiss here too... hehehe) On the other hand, of course, i miss living in Vancouver. whatever, yesterday evening i spent a funny evening with my friends. they're just great....

heyhey hello!!!
well today was kind of a pissy day. dunno why. i wasn't really motivated for my classes and the individual work on the lesson plan wity my partner was (once again) so exhausting... :(
actually the day got pissy after we had worked on the lesson plan. Well a well, i'll stay strong and patient... very patient...

Today the sun said hello again and let the whole city appear in a different way! Would be nice if it stayed like that for my last 21 days here or shall I say 11 because I'm going to spend the other 10 in... where was it again?! Horriwil? Huenigen? Heimberg? :D I do really have to plan what I'm going to do with the few days left. (Eating Bagels & cinnamon rolls, drinking coffee in Tim Hortons's house... aehm.. what else...)

Talking about houses: I just had a phone call with my house owner and I'll stay here till Saturday. Then I'll move to my Japanese friends' flat downtown for the two weekend left (thx Sanae & Ayumi). Shall i mention that i started packing because i won't have left much time this week and that my bags are already full although a lot of stuff is still in the wardrobe?! Better not... oops i just did it...

ai ai ai i've just done my home exam from the college and the longer i read all this stuff the more interested i get. what a shame that i haven't read it earlier. some things may had made more sense :) whatever my friends. i start realising that everything is gonna be over soon and that's strange. i'm curious how it is to be home again :D

well first, i can't wait to go to Hawaii because it's so cold here (maybe because i wore a skirt today... *eyeroll*)
still, i have no idea how i manage it to bring all my stuff with me back home. Anyone got a friend who's pilot at Air Canada or are big eyes and a charming smile enough at the check in?!? i don't think so... maybe a skirt again... ;) damn.

people say that some of our friends in the South are not always the brightest (i know there are many exceptions. one's living above me, right andy :) ) however, i just wanted to book my flight from oahu to maui and back. i found an excellent offer on the homepage from a company. unfortunately you have to give a billing address in the States besides the credit card details...

well, i called the company to ask why, because I want to book a flight and live in Canada. (and living in Canada is not a crime, is it?!) Anyway, she told me that they don't accept international credit cards... so far ok... I mean i don't understand it because the States are probably the only country that does so, but I accept that fact. so I said to the nice lady on the phone that in that case I have to book my flight when I'm in Oahu? She said yes.
I then mentioned that if I book it in Oahu I'm going to pay with exactly the same credit card and where the difference would be? Her answer: "Good question!" Thanx 'mam! :)

hehe today was kind of a sad day because two of my previous class left... no there are only three left (including me). Soon there will only be left two of us... However, as we talked yesterday about leaving i realised that i will be very sad to leave Vancouver. It's an amazing city (in spite of the rain) and i enjoy living here very much!!! Of course i do also look forward to seeing my guys. I'm gonna have a bad and a good cry...

how exciting is that??? Today after school i went to two different travel agencies (sta-travel and flightcentre) both of them could offer me flights but both were kind of expensive. However, at home, i was still in my "hawaii-fever" (swinglish aloha) and checked the internet on my own with the same dates. I found a very good offer from aircanada and booked it. Moreover, i just booked the hostels in honolulu and maui. *runningupthewalls* since this moment i couldn't sit still because i'm so excited!!!!! i leave Vancouver on February 6th and will return on the 17th. The flight home is a nightflight with a hopefully wonderful sunrise ;)
just that you can join me in my joy: actually it's 27degrees in hawaii :)
